Special Programs

The Special Programs Department, directed by the school counselor, works closely with classroom teachers to determine needs of students.
Some students are identified as needing additional support with reading or math skills. STAR math and reading tests, STAR Early Literacy, achievement tests, information from private assessments, and teacher input are used to identify these students. Other students benefit from enhanced learning opportunities, and these students are selected to participate in units of enrichment study.
