This course is for students that are interested in three dimensional modeling and printing.
Students use Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics skills to create objects in Tinkercad.
Assignments consists of projects for Catholic Schools Week, such as keychains, coffee cups, family member objects, and Playdough cookie cutters for our PreK3 class where they will enjoy collaborating with them on using their new cookie cutters. Students also have the opportunity to print their creations using our two state- of-the-art Dremel 3D40 Printers.
We started by learning what 3D Printing is and what the different 3D printing processes are. Naturally we also needed to learn how our printer works as well. Then we finally started to design our very own models.
Here is the link to a video of how a 3D printer works: 3D Printing Video.
This course would be beneficial for any student with an interest in careers related to engineering, architecture, robotics and the like.
